When moving to a new neighborhood, you should look into how safe it is, especially if you have a family or a lot of items that you don’t want stolen (who does, though?). Of course, even the safe neighborhoods have home invaders flock to them, especially around the holidays. In a lot of ways, unfortunately, that’s become inevitable.
When you want to see how safe your neighborhood is, though, there are some tools you can use to do so.
- AreaVibes is a fantastic tool to use, making it an incredibly easy to use item. You can look up what aspects make a neighborhood “safe” in your mind.
- FamilyWatchdog maps out the registered sex offenders in your neighborhood.
- CrimeReports lets you know what crimes are committed in the area you’re planning to move to.
